Redeeming a key

Every key goes into a launcher or a console store. Find yours below. If something goes wrong, the error message the platform shows is the most useful thing you can send us.

Activation, platform by platform

Steam

Steam client

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: Open the Steam client and sign in.
  2. Step 2: Choose Games in the top menu, then Activate a Product on Steam.
  3. Step 3: Paste the key and confirm. It appears in your library.

Wallet codes

  1. Step 1: Open Steam and sign in.
  2. Step 2: Go to your account name in the top right, then Account details, then Add funds to your Steam Wallet.
  3. Step 3: Choose Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code and paste the code.

Check your account country. It is shown on your Steam account details page.

GOG

GOG Galaxy or gog.com

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: Sign in at gog.com, or open GOG Galaxy.
  2. Step 2: Go to gog.com/redeem (in GOG Galaxy: the menu, then Redeem code).
  3. Step 3: Enter the code and confirm. The game is added to your GOG library.

Check your account country. It is shown in your account settings on gog.com.

EA app

EA app

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: Open the EA app on PC and sign in.
  2. Step 2: Open the menu, then Redeem code.
  3. Step 3: Paste the code and follow the prompts to download.

Check your account country. It is shown in your EA account settings.

Ubisoft

Ubisoft Connect

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: Open Ubisoft Connect on PC and sign in.
  2. Step 2: Open the menu, then Activate key.
  3. Step 3: Paste the key and confirm.

Check your account country. It is shown in your Ubisoft account information.

Rockstar

Rockstar Games Launcher

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: Open the Rockstar Games Launcher and sign in.
  2. Step 2: Go to Settings, then Account Information, then Code Redemption.
  3. Step 3: Enter the code and confirm.

Check your account country. It is shown in your Rockstar Games account settings.

PlayStation

PlayStation Store

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: On PS5 go to PlayStation Store, then the three dots menu, then Redeem Code. On PS4 choose Redeem Codes in PlayStation Store.
  2. Step 2: Check that the account country matches the region of the code.
  3. Step 3: Enter the 12-character code and confirm. Games and add-ons then download from your library.

Check your account country. It is shown in your PlayStation account details.

Xbox

Microsoft Store

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: On your console press the Xbox button, go to Store, then Redeem. On Windows, open the Microsoft Store and choose Redeem a code.
  2. Step 2: Make sure you are signed in to the account you want the item on.
  3. Step 3: Enter the 25-character code and confirm.

Check your account country. It is shown in your Microsoft account profile.

Nintendo

Nintendo eShop

Games, editions and add-ons

  1. Step 1: Open Nintendo eShop on your Switch or Switch 2 and pick the account to redeem on.
  2. Step 2: Choose Enter Code in the left menu.
  3. Step 3: Type the 16-character code and confirm.

Check your account country. It is shown in your Nintendo Account user info.

Regions

A key is sold for a territory and checks the country of the account you redeem it on. Where you are physically sitting does not matter, and a VPN does not change the account country.

  • Global. Activates on accounts in any country.Global

    No region lock. A few countries restrict some titles locally; the platform will tell you at redemption.
  • Europe and UK. Activates on accounts registered in 32 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.Europe and UK
    Works on
    Activates on accounts registered in the EU, EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
    Does not work on
    Will not activate on accounts registered in North America, Asia, Latin America or Oceania.
  • United Kingdom. Activates on accounts registered in 1 country: United Kingdom.United Kingdom
    Works on
    Activates only on accounts whose country is set to the United Kingdom.
    Does not work on
    Will not redeem on accounts from any other country, including Ireland and the EU.
  • Ireland. Activates on accounts registered in 1 country: Ireland.Ireland

    Bought for the Irish store. Redeem it on an account whose country is set to Ireland.
    Does not work on
    Do not buy it for an account set to any other country, including the United Kingdom.
  • North America. Activates on accounts registered in 2 countries: Canada, United States.North America

    Activates only on accounts registered in the United States or Canada.
    Does not work on
    Will not activate on UK or European accounts.
