About this add-on
Live the legacy of Yue Fei as he leads the Song Dynasty forces in a fight for survival against the ruthless Jin Dynasty invaders. When the north falls and the Song imperial court is captured, Yue Fei and fellow commander Han Shizhong protect an escaping young Song prince from the Jin and rally an impassioned fight for the dynasty’s survival against a seemingly unstoppable enemy.
On the battlefield, you may turn the tide. But in the imperial court, betrayal may prove deadlier than any enemy.
This is the legendary struggle to save a collapsing empire and its people, retold as an epic Age of Empires IV campaign.
A Brand-New Civilization: Jin Dynasty
The Jurchen Jin Dynasty arrives as a fast, ruthless civilization built on three pillars of strength:
• Horse Grasslands that synergize with stables to boost military production, feeding a relentless cavalry engine
• Emissaries that capture neutral settlements to establish Tributaries, and with them economic and military advantages
• Gunpowder, turning the late game into a siege storm of fire and smoke
Spread your empire across the map with roaming Mounted Villagers and captured Tributaries, then lock it all down with Meng’an Mouke keeps that attack when enemies dare cross your borders.
New Unique Units: Mounted Grenadier, Iron Pagoda & Eruptors
Unleash a roster that feels as brutal as it looks:
• Mounted Grenadier – Ranged heavy cavalry that throws explosive grenades at enemies, dealing area of effect damage.
• Iron Pagoda – Elite cavalry with exceptional armor that deals devastating area damage against enemy formations.
• Eruptors – A close-range gunpowder unit wielding a primitive burst hand cannon that erupts in a devastating scatter blast.
Built for Multiplayer and Skirmish
Beyond the campaign, the Jin Dynasty joins the civilization roster in skirmish and multiplayer. Bring Horse Grasslands, Mounted Villagers, Iron Pagoda shock charges and Eruptors into your favorite game modes.
4 New Maps & 2 New Biomes
Fight for freedom across four new maps and two new biomes. Battle across windswept grasslands, lush river valleys, and freezing desert plateaus that shape every decision—where you build, where you raid and where you make your last stand.
Jin Dynasty Brings New Music & Masteries
Establish your empire and charge into battle with in-game music wholly new to the Jin Dynasty.
Complete Jin Dynasty-specific Masteries as you perfect the art of mounted charges, powerful technology and efficient economies — earning rewards that mark you as a true Jin commander.
